Beer and Pizza
Yesterday was more of the usual. A bunch of reading cases and sitting in class and then an evening of social events and shunning work. I spent the afternoon studying in a lounge then went to a JLSA kosher chinese dinner at the Kraft Center. It was good to meet some more Jews but it was a pretty small crowd, maybe 20. From there I went to a senate informational meeting. Boring, just what I expected. Then it was time for pizza, beer, and a movie with the society For Enacting a Humane Drug Policy. The movie was about asserting your rights during a police encounter and it was mildly amusing. Then it was more studying for the rest of the evening.
Today wasn't very different. Class, then more class, then a break for lunch and a quick glimpse of the olympics, some studing and more class. Then studying. Then pizza, and a movie with the entertainment law people and the student aliance for gender equality. We watched Chasing Amy. It was ok. Then I went home for more studying and finally a brief trip to the gym. In other news my senate campaign is coming along nicely. Also I'm walking a tightrope of class participation. If you raise your hand in class you are labeled a gunner and hated by your fellow students. If you say something dumb you are not only hated but mocked. I like to participate in class but I have to be careful to hold back most of the time so as not to bring the wrath of my peers down on me. It's a tough line to walk.
