Eternal Luncheon
Woke up at 8:30 but didn't rise until 11 or so. Took care of some email and whatnot and showered and shaved. Not a slow morning though. Had to keep on track so as not to be late for lunch at 1. Went by a friend's place since she was going to the same lunch. I had to get flowers and she needed a veggie platter so we went to the flower shop and then De Agostino. She wasn't ready to leave at 12:45 like we had planned though. By the time we got to the lunch it was 2. Oops. Still, good company and good food make up for little things like tardiness. Ate 'till we were stuffed and then sat around chatting. And laughing. And chatting. And laughing. Didn't end up leaving until 6:30. Long lunch. But well worth neglecting moot court. It's so rare that I laugh anymore, I try to hang on to such moments as long as possible. Laughing is good exercise, raises endorphin levels, prolongs life, etc...I really need to work on laughing more if possible. Life is too short to be so serious. I did hit the moot court research when I got home though. Then got an IM from a friend doing the same thing in the law school, an empty classroom on the 5th floor. I joined him and before long another friend showed up too. My research didn't get very far but the company was nice. I'll collect my printouts sometime tomorrow when the library is open. Had some frozen enchilada box for dinner. Not very satisfying. They make the portion sizes for elves. So I followed it up with a bowl of cheerios. I'd feel bad eating such a crappy meal but I think lunch balances it out. I'll see if I can get some more work done tonight to maximize superbowl watching time tomorrow.
