Hangin' Round
Got up at 10 and cleaned the bathtub. It was gross. No one else here ever cleans up after themselves. Worked on moot court for a while and had cheerios for brunch. Got an IM from a friend who wanted to go study in Butler. I said I'd have to take a shower first. Kept him waiting 40 minutes. I'm a bastard like that. Showering quickly just doesn't happen in my world. Spent the afternoon researching in the library. It closed at 6 so we figured it was time to find dinner anyway. I wanted a turkey burger but my buddy convinced me to go to Cafe Swish. Didn't take to much time to twist my arm. Ran into a friend's boyfriend on the way over and invited him along. The restaurant has one big table in the middle so we were seated next to two strangers. One was a Harvard alum bartending at the West End to make ends meet until her screenplays sell. The other I wasn't quite clear on but she had a masters from Columbia in something or other and went to Washington and Lee undergrad. Not very exciting stuff to remember about people you have dinner with I suppose. I had some chicken ginger thing that was pretty good, my buddy had sushi, and the boyfriend had an avocado salad (he's so obviously Israeli). He had to run out early to meet the girlfriend but the rest of us stuck around and chatted. Got an offer of free beer at the West End (as if I don't get enough of that as it is), but maybe I'll drop by at some point. Came home and watched The Apostle because my friend insisted. It was rather disturbing. I'm not a fan of religious fanaticism in any form. Damn cults. Wasted a bunch of time online rather than going back to moot court. Now it's 10. Guess I should get down to business.
