  Journal

Someone posted a question about being a 1L on a journal and how that is possible. There are two journals here that accept 1Ls to my knowledge. The Journal of Eastern European Law and the Journal of Gender and Law. I thought writing for a journal would be a good experience and would improve my blue booking skills so I joined JGL because the subject matter also interested me. I'm a strong advocate for women's rights and LGBT rights. I don't know what the process is for the other journal but JGL accepts pretty much anyone who is willing to do the work. Hope that answers the question.

BLOG MORE!!!! am feeling withdrawl symptoms... :)

You can be on a journal as a 1L? Crazy. Is the JGL mainly for women and homo/bisexuals? That's how it is at my law school; the journal's pretty good, the people that work on it are passionate so it's fun to hear about.

Yes, there are very few heterosexual males on the journal. Supposedly we have the best journal on this topic in the country, though I don't out much stock in rankings, of Journals, Law Schools, or anything else. Most people are pretty passionate on JGL and we get some fascinating articles to review. The collegiality (that's for you Nicholson) is amazing and we all have a pretty good time. What law school/journal are you with anon?

Curious? Then read on. If not go watch TV or find some other way to rot your brain :-P
