  Shabbat at OZ

Slept through crim but went to Reg State for the first Friday I can remember in a long time. Had a bunch of cheerios for lunch after. Generally hung out for a while and went to shabbat at Ohab Zedek on 95th with a friend at 5:45. Services there were ok, wasn't really feeling it. Modern Orthodox shul, all young professionals, mid 20's to 30's exclusively. A little old for my tastes. Met up with another friend there and went to her place in the lower 90's for dinner. All the other guests were older, a vocalist, my friend's 30+ roomate, and 2 lawyers. Not a bad time though. Good food and fairly calm. Went to a Community Oneg at a youth hostel. Tikvat Yisrael, Kehilat Orach Eliezer (KOE), Kol Zimrah, Darkhei Noam, Selah and other groups sponsored the event. It wasn't terribly exciting and at around midnight I went home. I miss CA Jews.
